Fly Tying Classes

thread-box-reduced.jpgFly tying classes start on Wednesday's in October 2008 and continue to the first week in April.  Classes run from 6:30-8pm at Mayfly & Co.
Class size is limited to 8 students.  Registration is $30 per class.  Pre-registration is urged.  Mayfly & Co. supplies all the materials for the class.

Mayfly & Co. is opening these fly tying classes to indviduals with limited or no experience in the art of fly tying but would like to expand their knowledge as a fly tyer.  Students are urged to supply their own vises and tools.  Becoming familiar and comfortable with your own equipment will make a difference in the tying process and the end result.  Call Mayfly & Co. for information about a basic fly tyer's tool kit.

Mayfly & Co. also encourages participation by non-fishing, artistic individuals who would like to learn the art of fly tying.

Within a few weeks of course participation students will gain the confidence of knowing the basic skills of fly tying and start tying flies on their own.  With practice, each student will begin to cultivate their talent in the art of fly tying.
